CCEE1813 Fancy folds

I made this joy fold card for my parents for Easter. I cross stamp is from Rubbernecker. The sentiment inside on the left is from Sweet and Sassy, and not sure of the source of the one on the right. Fancy folds are not my thing as they take too much of my time that I like to allot for cards.
But Vicky is our hostess for this last challenge of March and "fancy folds" is the theme. Thanks, Vicky, for the fun challenges you provided this month.

Feel free to join along in the fun, if you post your card to SCS please use the CCEE1813 for the keyword. You may link your card over at the cceestampers blogsite found HERE.

Have a blessed Easter everyone!

Carz 4 Guyz - Things with tails

I recently found this as a marked down item so I just had to add this lobster to my stamp collection.
I was browsing for some new challenges to try, so this one seemed perfect and my new stamp would match the challenge!! I found the challenge HERE .

So excited to see this card get mentioned for a winner for the challenge.

Challenge up Your life #81 Stenciling

This is for the Challenge Up Your Life #87 using stenciling. I had fun with my Oxide ink pads making this background.I stamped the script (retired stamp from Stampin' Up) background before  I stenciled the trees and then sponge dabbed the green leaves. I stamp the yellow sun, and sponged the edges. I added a few water drops to try out a few extra techniques with the oxide inks. I added the diecut deer as my final touch.

Haing a great time this week trying out some new challenges.

CCEE1811 St. Patrick's Day/Green

Wow, we're three weeks into March already.....and St. Patrick's Day is on the horizon.  This week, Vicky is having us  make a St. Patrick's Day card.....or.....use the color green on your card!  Not all of us can use a St. Patrick's Day card, but green is a wonderful color with endless possibilities!

So I used this stamp from Unity to stamp this lucky girl who remembered to wear her GREEN!!  I did a little paper piecing on her top. I love doing that to these incredible girl images from Unity. It's as fun as making paper dolls. Added a little foilage around this lucky lass, and the sentiment "Living one amazing happy life!"

I love piecing my background from scraps from my green bag of scrap design papers. It is fun and helps me make use of these scraps that were too good to throw away.

Please join us in this fun challenge and link back to our blog here.  If posting on splitcoaststampers, please add CCEE1811 to keywords so it goes in our gallery for us to see.

Shop our stash challenge #345

The challenge for the Shop our Stash Challenge today was to use a bird. Well, I was doing a little spring cleaning in my stamp room, and found some left over pieces bagged up for a shoe box challenge I did probably a year ago, so I can't even remember what the original card looked like so I just used the left overs, added a few more scraps from my pile and put this card together for this challenge. I love depleting those scrap piles and those left overs. Love these Tim Holtz Crazy birds too.
