CCEE1817 Poetry

Lois is bringing us our final challenge of the month.  April is National Poetry Month, and today is Poem in Your Pocket Day.  I'm asking that you create a card using a poem as your inspiration.  I actutually computer generated a copy of my poem that was written by one of my favorites, Shel Silverstein. My little pig is a stamp from Deep Red.

I used my Oxide inks to smash the background. I enjoyed using some of my paper scraps to design the rest of this card.

JUGS 437

I made this card for two challenges: the Featured Stamper challenge and Just Us Girls #437 using purple. I used some of my old Stampin' Up  stamps, and then I added a few mini punched butterflies.

Less is More 369 - Bring Something back!

When I saw that the challenge for Less is More 369 was to bring something back, I thought of this old stamp set that has been sitting in my garage for some time now. It was dated 1997, which makes it 21 years old. Wow, where do those years go?? I always loved this set and just could not seem to part with it although I had not use it in a decade probably. Then I thought it would be fun to use the new Distress Oxide inks to give it a new life with these amazing inks. The sentiment is from Verve.

CCEE National Pet Day

Lois is here, continuing as hostess for the CCEE Stampers this month.  There are many lists of "holidays" on the internet.  One of them listed yesterday (April 11th) as National Pet Day.  She asked the team to use a pet (dog, cat, bird, whatever) on their cards.

I have a cat and this stamp has never seen ink before, so it was time it got a little love.

Join us in the fun over at the cceestampers blog. If you post your card over on SCS please use CCEE1815 as your keyword. Check over on the blog for all the great cards made by the team.

ccee1814

Hi, Lois is here starting her month as hostess for the CCEE Stamper challenges.  Tomorrow is National Tartan Day.  She asked the team members to create a card using plaid.

I thought I had all kinds of plaids to choose from, but since I have a long list of things to do today, I found this one in one of my paper pads. It looked rather masculine and plaid always reminds me of golf for some reason. My son, who is the golfer's birthday is coming up in May, so decided I would follow Maryann's lead with her great card this week, and go with the golf theme as well with this plaid. I love this vintage stamp of the golfer who wore knickers!!

I hope you will play along with us, and link your card over on the CCEEStampers blogsight HERE.
